Photos: Disaster As Igbo Traders And Hausa Boys Clashed In Aba, Abia State Today. 2 Killed

Businesses were brought to a hault in Aba, the business home of Abia State yesterday after some Igbo and Hausa young men drew in themselves in a free-for-all battle.

The conflict which happened around 12pm created genuine pressure in Ogbor Hill hub of the city as most shop owners shut down their shops and fled.

The battle began after a Hausa butcher at Waterside market killed an Igbo broker who confroted him for urinating other than his shop.

In a snappy retaliation move, some Igbo dealers immediately plummeted on the Hausa butcher and lynched him.

All the Hausa individuals around the Aba abattoir at Waterside fled for security after intensely equipped military men achieved the scene of the assault.

Military Hilux vans were positioned at key areas at Waterside along Aba Ikot Ekpene street tonight to keep hoodlums from unleashing pandemonium on innocent residents.
