Two individuals whose names were given as Matthew and Asuquo were harmed while merchandise and property worth over a hundred million Naira went down the channel at the Building Material Market in Ogidi, Anambra State. This took after an early morning fire flare-up that wreaked devastation on nine shops throughout the weekend.
One of the shop owners, Chidi Okorie, said that the vigilante young men saw a bizarre smoke exuding from the fire and made attempt to extinguish it by breaking into the scene, sadly, there were gallons and containers of profoundly inflammable chemicals that supported the speed of the flame. He said the flame harmed two of his young men who are presently getting treatment in a private healing center in Onitsha.
As indicated by him, the flame expended merchandise worth over N100 million and to exacerbate the matter, he said they should burn through N2 million on each of the shops to settle them as a result of the high cost of materials at the moment.
