Teenager Burnt to Death For Refusing a Marriage Proposal
An 18-year-old Pakistani lady died after she was set on fire for refusing a marriage proposal, police confirmed. Maria Sadaqat Abbasi a schoolteacher was soaked in petrol and set ablaze by four (4) men who left her to die.

Abbasi had been looking after her five-year-old sister in the small village of Davel, outside Murree in north-eastern Pakistan, at the time.
According to her unvle who found her: “Maria was lying on the floor, with 85 percent of her body covered in burns.
“We had to carry Maria on a chair to the closest road to get her to an ambulance.”
She was moved to a hospital 30 miles afar where she eventually gave up from her injuries.
Her family have said the attack was mainly because she rejected a marriage proposal.
Three have been arrested in relation with the murder, and an arrest warrant is out for a fourth individual, the Murree police have said.
