FUTA Ondo: Four Students Die in Fatal Car Crash

Four students of the Federal University of Technology Akure (FUTA), Ondo State. The students were traveling in a shuttle owned by the Redeemed Christian Fellowship [RCF] when the crash occurred at the Ibule/Igbara Oke junction at the outskirt of Akure town, in Ifedore Local Government of Ondo state. They were said to be heading to Lagos state for a wedding ceremony.

According to an eye-witness, “The journey was smooth until when a motorbike rider veered through the driver’s front tyre, and in attempt to avoid crashing the cyclist, the driver suddenly hit the brakes and the motor car somersaulted a couple of times, throwing the students outside the mini bus in the process". He further added that he counted four dead bodies.
