More than 30 undergraduates who celebrated at a graduation party in northern Iran have gotten 99 lashes each for violating the Islamic republic's ethical quality code, a news office reported
"Taking after a report around a substantial number of young men and young ladies blending together in an estate around Qazvin, every one of those joining in the gathering were captured promptly," Mizanonline cited on Thursday the town's prosecutor general as saying.
Esmail Sadeghi Niyaraki said the adolescents were put on trial and each sentenced to 99 lashes, a discipline which profound quality police completed that day "so to be a lesson for the individuals who endeavor to rupture the traditions." No date was given.
"The capture of this numerous young ladies and young men, who were half-exposed, devouring liquor and were occupied with profane conduct, hurt the popular conclusion," the authority said.
Blended moving is banned in Iran, particularly if females don't wear the Islamic cover, and liquor (achohol) is precluded.
Niyaraki additionally cautioned that any eateries or providing food corridors which permitted such blended occasions or served liquor would be shut down.
