Woman attempts suicide with baby at Third Mainland Bridge

Agents of the Rapid Response Squad (RRS) on Wednesday ceased a lady from conferring suicide with her infant.

Identified as Halimat Adegoke, 27, (not genuine names) purportedly attempted to hop into the Lagoon from the Third Mainland Bridge at around 5:00pm as preceding RRS patrols interceded.

The lady, who was taken to RRS central command at Alaus, said she trekked from Medina Estate in Gbagada to the Third Mainland Bridge in light of the fact that a voice continued advising her to go there. The police said it was a taxi driver who flagged the RRS patrol team on routine watch about the episode. The lady said she had issues with her significant other and later moved to her guardian's home in Gbagada.
