Five-year old girl Sexually Abused as Lady, 24, Faces the Law for Deeds
A 24-year-old lady, identified as Nwakaego Ugochukwu, was charged in Lagos on Tuesday for sexually abusing a five-year-old girl in her home. The accused, a factory worker, who dwells at Canal Estate, Ago Okota, Lagos, is confronting a double charge verging on rape under the watchful eye of an Ikeja Magistrates' Court.
The Prosecutor, Insp Eruada Victor, told the court that the accused on May 5, 2016, took the child to her apartment where she sexually ambushed the five-year-old young lady. Concurring to the prosecutor, the lady, who lives on the same road with the young lady, over and again plunged her fingers into the private part of the five-year-old young lady. He included that the matter was accounted for to the police after the girl admitted to her folks that the accused embedded her fingers into her private part.
The offences, the prosecutor said, repudiated Sections 259 and 261 of the Criminal Laws of Lagos State. The charged, be that as it may, argued not liable. The Magistrate, Mr E.O. Ogunkanni, allowed the accused bail sum in the total for N200,000 with two sureties in like entirety. The case was adjourned till June 15 for hearing.
