Labour Rallies at Lagos State, Delta State - Asaba and Kwara State


Sister Labour unions NLC and TUC together with the Civil Society are currently walking towards Ikeja from the NLC office Yaba, they approach Maryland at the moment. The movement in Lagos is led by an NLC deputy president and the union insist they are not interrupting motorist and other road users and that they are only sensitising Nigerians on the difficulty the current government is putting them.


Strike commenced across the entire of Kwara state on Wednesday as workers, teachers inclusive; primary and post primary schools complied with the instruction of the national leader of the NLC to go on strike since the Federal government has refused to bring down pump price of PMS from N145 per litre to N86 per litre despite the order by the court to stop on the strike.

Similar demonstration is also ongoing at Asaba, Delta State by members of NLC, NUT, NULGE, PASAN, NUJ, PENSIONERS, NURSES, RATAWU, NASU and many others.  More to follow...
