Nigeria Power Drops Again

The sum of power accessible to Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) to circulate to homes and workplaces crosswise over Nigeria has dropped to 1,400 megawatts (MW).

The System Operation/Market Operation Department of the TCN expressed this on Tuesday in an announcement from its Assistant General Manager, Public Affairs, Mr Clement Ezeolisah in Abuja. He expressed that power era into the national network dropped to 1,400MW as at Tuesday, 17th May, 2016 in light of operational difficulties experienced by gas power era organizations in the nation.

He said the descending pattern of power era is because of limitations in the warm power stations which have kept the generators from delivering at ideal levels. He added that TCN laments the orderly weakness which the low power era has brought about to homes and organizations in the nation.

Key pipelines passing on gas to power plants in the south have been vandalized and experiencing repairs which the administration said will be finished, in the most recent weeks of May.
